Known in Norfolk before 1800. Exhibited at the London Horticultural Society in 1819 by G Lindley, a nurseryman from Norwich. Was quite widely grown in gardens in the 19th century. A late dessert apple, flushed and with some russeting. A sweet, rich , nutty flavour.
