History and description of Stint

Stint plum was raised by Thomas Rivers, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, UK c 1875.

Small, round fruit. Bright purplish red skin with darker dots and some mottling. Thin skinned. Golden yellow, juicy flesh. Good flavour for an early plum. Useful both as a dessert and culinary variety.

Round-headed tree of moderate vigour. Moderate crops.
