History and description of Erika

Erika is a new autumn fruiting raspberry bred in Italy. It has already become very sucessful as a commercial variety in many European countries. It is very heavy cropping producing large orange/red berries with very good flavour. The berries are firm and easy to pick. Erika has the potential of producing two crops in one season. Like other primocane (autumn) raspberries it crops on the current year's canes from late summer into early autumn. However if some of the smaller canes are left over winter they will produce a small early crop in July.
