We currently produce this variety to order only through our bud-grafting service. You cannot order on line. If you wish to order please contact us using the messaging facility on the contact us page. Bud-grafting is carried out in late July and early August. The trees would be supplied approximately 18 months later. We normally need to have received orders by the beginning of July. History and description of Primate

Primate plum was raised by Rivers Nurseries at Sawbridgeworth. It first fruited in 1889, was introduced in 1897 and received the Award of Merit from the RHS in 1895. The fruit is larege with a red/purple skin. It has yellow, juicy flesh with a fair flavour and cooks well.
