If you are the organiser of an allotment association, a horticultural
group, or gardening club, we would be delighted to show your
members around the Nursery.
We have one of the largest private collections of fruit trees in the country, and
the visits are hosted by our Nursery Manager, who has an encyclopaedic
knowledge of fruit trees.
Your group will be able
to explore our collection of mother fruit trees, as well as see how trees are raised in the nursery.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to sample fruits in season,
and ask questions.
There is no pre-set itinerary to these visits, we can accommodate
any particular aspects of fruit trees that your group is interested in.
Visits normally take place over the summer or autumn by mutual arrangement, and are likely to last 2-3 hours.
We have parking for cars and minivans on site.
We recommend your group should have suitable footwear
and check the weather forecast in advance.
There is no charge for these group visits. Visitors are of course welcome to order fruit trees during the visit but note that the trees are not usually available for collection until the winter.
