History and description of Ingrid

Ingrid has a small attractive nut with a very hard shell peach stone shaped shell. The nut ripens in late September after Robijn and can be eaten once the fruit case splits open. If eaten with the skin the nut has an excellent marzipan flavour. Produces an abundance of pink blossom in March
