History and description of Delprim

Delprim was raised in France at the Delbard nursery, Malicorne in the 1960’s from a Delcorf (Delbarestivale) X Akane. An early dessert apple. Small sized fruit, predominantly red flushed, smooth skinned. The flesh is firm, crisp and juicy. A rich flavour with plenty of sugar and acidity. Becomes sweeter and very scented when fully ripe in September. A vigorous, spreading tree. Heavy cropper.
