History and description of Red Joaneting

Red Joaneting apple is an old English variety first recorded in 1665. Small, round-conical fruit. Pretty red flush over a yellow skin. Soft cream coloured flesh. Sharp refreshing taste. Very early variety best eaten from tree in late July. Moderately vigorous, upright tree.
