History and description of Gloucester Cross

Raised 1913 by G T Spinks at the Long Ashton Research Station, Bristol. A Cox’s Orange Pippin cross. Sweet, crisp and juicy with quite intense, rich, aromatic flavour. Deep cream flesh.
