History and description of Christmas Pearmain

English variety raised by Mr Manser and introduced by the nurseryman G Bunyard of Maidstone, Kent. First recorded 1893. Medium sized, oblong fruit. Pretty apple with red stripes and russsetting over a green skin. Juicy, crisp, yellow flesh. Good, sweet, rich flavour.
