History and description of Trailblazer

Raised in Portland, Oregon, USA by Mrs M M Smith 1952.

Large fruit for a cherry plum. Like a small plum. Round oval, red. Apricot orange, soft, very juicy, sweet flesh when fully ripe. Mainly of ornamental value with red foliage and attractive early pink blossom. Cropping light in the UK.
