History and description of Early Julyan

Early Julyan apple is believed to have arisen in Scotland before 1800. Introduced to southern England by the nurseryman Hugh Ronalds of Brentford, Essex in the early 19th century. Flat to flat-round-conical, ribbed fruit. Smooth, pale green skin turning straw yellow when fully ripe. Firm, juicy, cream coloured flesh. Refreshing, brisk taste. Cooks to a bright yellow puree. Vigorous tree. Good regular cropper.
