History and description of Foulden Pearmain

Arose in the garden of Mrs Horrex at Foulden, Norfolk. Introduced 1818 by G Lindley, nurseryman. Medium sized, round fruit with smooth flushed skin. A dual purpose apple with plenty of acidity but quite sweet. Cooks to a juicy bright lemon puree with good flavour.
