History and description of Twentieth Century Asian Pear
Small to medium sized, round fruit. Yellow skin when ripe. Crisp very juicy flesh. Good flavour.
The most popular commercial variety grown in Japan where it is known as Nijisseiki. Heavy cropping requiring thinning to obtain good sized fruit. Trees tend to be weak growing in British conditions.
