History and description of Royale de Vilvoorde
First catalogued by Bavay at the Horticultral Station in Vilvoorde, Belgium in 1885.Medium sized, round, purple plum. Firm, almost crisp, yellow flesh. Very sweet pleasant flavour. Excellent dessert variety but light crops in the UK.
