Aromatnaya is a quince originating from Russia which can be eaten fresh. The fruit is bright lemon
yellow in colour and has the size and shape of a fairly large rounded pear. The yellow flesh is soft
when ripe with some sweetness combined with a sharp lemon tang. It is not as sweet as a sweet
quinces such as Isfahan but much less acid than acid varieties such as Meeches Prolific. It is quite pleasant to eat fresh but is best used for making jellies and jams or other culinary purposes. It crops well and is relatively disease resistant.
