History and description of Flame

Flame was raised in 1925 by W P Seabrook & Sons of Boreham, Essex, UK from a Worcester Pearmain x Rival. A pretty, pink and red flushed summer apple. Crisp, juicy flesh, Sweet but with plenty of acidity. Lightly aromatic developing an aniseed flavour. Small tree. Light cropper.
