Flame is a pretty pink and red flushed summer apple.

Origin: Essex UK, 1925

Pollination: Flame is self-sterile and would require a pollinator to produce a crop.  Pollination partners

We do not stock this variety, but it is available through our custom bud-grafting service.

Propagation is carried out in late July / early August, and the grafted trees would be available for supply in December the following year (approximately 14 months later). You can choose the number of trees and the rootstock(s) you want the trees grafted on.

History and description of Flame

Flame was raised in 1925 by W P Seabrook & Sons of Boreham, Essex, UK from a Worcester Pearmain x Rival. A pretty, pink and red flushed summer apple. Crisp, juicy flesh, Sweet but with plenty of acidity. Lightly aromatic developing an aniseed flavour. Small tree. Light cropper.
