History and description of Sure Crop

Sure Crop apple originates from the Clibrans nursery in Cheshire in 1905. It is a large oblong green dual purpose apple. The flesh has a pleasant flavour and cooks to a stiff bright yellow puree with a sweet rich flavour. Its acidity fades after the New Year when it is best used as a dessert apple. It is good cropper as the name would imply.
