History and description of Rochester

Rochester is a long established variety raised in early 20th century in the USA. It is one the most popular outdoor peaches in the UK. The fruit is large with an attractive red flush over an orange skin. The orange-yellow flesh is soft and juicy. It is sweet with a good flavour. It flowers late missing late frosts and giving more reliable crop. Like most peaches Rochester is susceptible to peach leaf curl.
