History and description of Mrs Seden

Mrs Seden is a small to medium sized round pear. It develops an unusual dark red/maroon flush which can cover most of the green skin. The colour and the conspicuous white lenticels give the fruit an unusual stunning appearance in the autumn. The flesh is very crisp and juicy similar to Asian pears. It is sweet but with a distinct residual acidity.
