History and description of Beurre Bosc

An old Belgian variety grown commercially in Europe and North America.

Medium large, long thin, calabasse shaped, attactive looking fruit. Dark yellow skin almost entirely covered with a bronze russet. Creamy white, tender, very juicy flesh. Very sweet, aromatic flavour. Very good dessert variety but also useful for cooking and drying.

Vigorous upright tree. Very reliable prolific cropper.
